Before July 31, 2023, there were only four requirements you needed to meet to be eligible for the Walmart Seller pro badge. Now, Walmart has added a couple more requirements, and has upped the standards of the previous requirements.
These requirements are put in place to ensure that only the most reliable and professional sellers are recognized and rewarded with the Pro Seller Badge.
1. Sales Volume
Firstly, to be eligible for the Pro Seller Badge, a seller must meet a minimum sales volume threshold. Sellers must have at least 250 orders fulfilled (used to be just 100) within a 90-day period.
2. Customer Satisfaction
In addition to sales volume, sellers must maintain a high level of customer satisfaction ratings to qualify for the badge.
Specifically, sellers must maintain a Seller-accountable Cancellation Rate less than or equal to 1.5% (used to be 2%) in the past 90 days and a Seller Response Rate is greater than or equal to 95% in the past 30 days.
The cancellation rate measures the percentage of orders that are canceled by the seller. The response rate determines how often you respond to your buyers’ queries.
3. Delivery Rate
Still on customer satisfaction, Walmart expects sellers to provide a good shipping experience to the buyers on their marketplace.
Hence, to get the Walmart Seller Pro badge in 2023, you need to maintain a Seller-accountable On-Time Delivery Rate greater than or equal to 95% (used to be 90%) in the past 90 days.
4. Actual Delivery to Promised Gap (New Update)
As we mentioned earlier, Walmart has updated their criteria for achieving the Seller Pro Badge and they’ve introduced a crucial requirement for all sellers to note.
Now, it is essential to ensure that the gap between the Actual Delivery and the Promised Delivery of your products is less than or equal to 2 calendar days.
This change emphasizes the importance of reviewing your delivery processes and making necessary adjustments to provide precise and reliable delivery estimates.
5. Weekend Delivery (New Update)
Another update to their criteria for Seller Pro badge eligibility is if you have weekend delivery enabled. Believe it or not, if you do not have weekend delivery enabled, you will not qualify for the Seller Pro badge.
So go to your shipping settings now and enable Saturday and/or Sunday delivery.
6. Lag Time (New Update)
Lastly, you need to maintain a lag time of one business day or less on all items you fulfill to be eligible for the Walmart Seller Pro badge.
Lag time refers to the period between when an order is placed by a customer and when the seller ships the product. It is essentially the processing time that a seller takes to prepare an order for shipment.
7. Listings Quality (Dropped)
In the old eligibility requirements, we were required to have a 60% Listing Quality Score for at least 70% of our trending catalog (as Walmart puts it). This is not the case anymore.
We have no idea why this is, all we know is you do not have to obsessively worry about it to get the Seller Pro badge.
Although it is not explicitly stated, it is still important to keep a good listing score. Remember that these requirements only make you eligible; it doesn’t guarantee the badge. So keeping a good listing score will help your case.
Your seller Listing Quality Score is determined by factors such as product title, description, images, and other product attributes, and is used to evaluate the quality and accuracy of a seller’s product listings.
